Call for volunteers

The Person-Centered Institute of Asia has always been committed to promoting the Person-Centered philosophy and aims to provide professional and warm support and services to organizations and individuals. In order to further promote various projects and enhance teamwork, we are now inviting professionals and enthusiasts who identify with this philosophy to join our volunteer team and contribute to social goals together. The specific content and process of this recruitment are detailed below:

I. Volunteer system and community composition

  1. Community size
    We plan to form a small team of 10 volunteers. A small team makes communication and coordination easier, responsibilities clearer, and helps each member to make full use of their professional expertise and achieve efficient collaboration.
  2. Regular activities
    • Administrative meetings
      • Volunteers can participate in the prospecting of future projects and prepare for them
      • Volunteers can participate in discussions about ongoing projects
      • Volunteers can propose their own ideas or proposals, and collectively decide whether they are worth implementing
    • Heart-to-heart groups
      • Rogers-style heart-to-heart groups give participants a great deal of freedom, and it is hoped that everyone will have the space to be themselves
  3. Temporary activities
    For specific projects that are being implemented, when special needs or emergencies arise, the relevant project participants will temporarily convene a group meeting to quickly discuss and solve problems. The temporary activity arrangements will be flexibly adjusted according to the progress of the project and actual needs.
  4. Skill pool construction
    In order to ensure that the strengths of each volunteer are fully utilized in project implementation, we will regularly invite volunteers to update their latest interests and expertise in the organization’s skill database. Through the skill pool, project needs can be more accurately matched, ensuring that tasks are assigned according to individual abilities and improving overall work efficiency.

2. Volunteer joining process

To ensure that each volunteer can smoothly integrate into the team, we have designed the following joining process:

  1. Fill out the application form
    • Those interested in joining should first fill out the application form online, providing detailed information about their basic personal information, professional background, skills and expertise, and motivation for participating in volunteer services.
    • The application form will help us get to know you initially and lay the foundation for subsequent communication.
  2. Invite for an interview
    • After receiving the application, we will arrange a half-hour interview for applicants who meet the basic requirements.
    • The interview will include an introduction to the development plan of the organization, the team’s mode of operation, and current projects, as well as an opportunity to learn about your interests, strengths, and expectations.
    • This process is designed to confirm a match in values and goals, and lay a foundation for further cooperation.
  3. Officially join the community
    • After passing the interview, you will officially become a member of the volunteer team.
    • After joining, you will receive detailed team work guidelines and project materials, and regularly participate in business meetings, sharing groups, and ad hoc activities.
    • We will clarify the specific responsibilities of each member, provide the necessary support and feedback mechanisms, and ensure that personal development and team goals complement each other.
